NASA - LCROSS: Mission Overview

NASA launched something at the moon at 4:31a.m. today. They were trying to find water on the moon. In any event, the video was grainy and nothing could be seen with the naked eye (I watched).

It's fascinating stuff but ultimately boring. I just wanted to be the first to make a thread.

Fucking stupid. I guess there is fuel on the moon, so they probably aren't looking for water. I heard some guy wants to find a way to make a fuel station on the moon to make galactic travel easier. America just has to put there cock on everything.

Well I know you're joking but I feel compelled (I can't help it) to say that he's probably referring to its tidal effects and nothing to do with Darwin.

maybe we can get a group of men to extract hydrogen from the suns surface

or we can harness the power of jupiter's hurricane

i have no problem with my tax dollars going towards anything relating to space travel. with our current technology we MUST have a moon base in order to travel to MARS or beyond. these are just baby steps...you have to start somewhere.

didnt u guys see the movie where a meteor hit the moon, and it turned out to be the core of a brown dwarf star. The core got embedded in the moon and made its mass twice that of earth so it fucked the orbits up huge. Earth started spiraling in toward the moon etc etc
