my advice for the day

join the dark side. conservatism, christianity and capitalism is much more profitable than anything opposing these ideologies.

all mumbo jumbo about the year 2012 or the age of aquarius is just there to make sure the people on the losing side keep the faith, and ultimately stay losing.

join while you can, its a long waiting list.

I know what he's talking about but I want to add that you should only be doing this to double cross the conservaite capitalist christians. All the while you should have your own motives. Mine are to do lots of drugs while they're not looking.

I agree with what you are saying Veda.

I think this really extends to anything or one that wishes to call itself to a religion or spiritual path.

profit does not necessarily equate to disrespect of the fellow human unless it involves scamming/trickery. in which case, you have a point--capitalism carries a legacy of resorting to foul-play in order to cash in.

capitalism encourages resorting to foul-play by rewarding it

I like to read the history about the Christian Socialists in the early 1900s before Socialism got smeared and distorted by all parties involved.

i'm reminded of how the apostles organized themselves after jesus, as outlined in acts ch. 4:

Quote:
32And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
