What to make for the office Thanksgiving potluck?
Any ideas? I want to make something good because everyone votes on the best dish in each category (dessert, appetizer, etc) and the winner gets 4 hours of paid time off. Keep in mind that I can follow recipe, but I'm not exactly Emeril Lagasse.
The potluck is this Thursday at noon. Serious answers are appreciated, but non-serious answers are also appreciated.

my moms' cauliflower & cheese recipe:
alright, this shit's pretty simple. if you know how to make a white sauce, you like don't even really need me for this.. hahah this recipe is UBER easy to multiply and shit to suit the amount you need and your tastes too, so play around with it a bit.. just follow the basic principles.. for your potluck, you're going to want to do at least 2 heads of cauliflower.. the OG recipe was for one head, but i honestly can't remember the last time i've only done it for one.. it's always everyone's favourite thing at the table, and everyone wants leftovers to go home [including whoever made it..] To make Cauliflower Casserole – you will need: 1 head Cauliflower Butter Flour Milk Grated cheese (preferably white) Nutmeg Dijon Mustard Salt & White Pepper (if you need it) – be sure to use white pepper as black pepper will make the casserole look ‘dirty’) I cannot give exact measurements as I ‘eye ball’ the ingredients when I make this..but…I will do my best. Cut cauliflower into bite size pieces. Cook (steam or boil) until tender. Drain and put in buttered casserole dish. I like using a rectangular pyrex (glass) baking dish. To make the white sauce – melt a couple of tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over med/high heat. Once melted and cooking – stir in a couple of tablespoons of flour, making sure to mix the flour in very well. Stop adding flour when it becomes a sticky paste – kind of like very thick oatmeal. Cook the butter/flour mixture until the colour changes – it will get lighter, more opaque. Once the butter/flour is properly cooked – slowly whisk in milk. Continue to add and whisk until the mixture is good and thick. When your white sauce base is done…remove your sauce pan from the heat. Add 1 teaspoon Dijon, stir well. Then add nutmeg – a pinch or 2 – and stir well. Finally, add shredded cheese (about 1 cup per head of cauli)….and salt/white pepper to taste. Pour sauce over cauliflower. Then top with buttered crumbs – i almost always use crushed up cornflakes– you can improvise with what you have on hand [chips, breadcrumbs, rice krispies, etc etc]. At this point – you can cool, refrigerate, and bake later. To cook – bake in a 350 oven for about 30 minutes until it bubbles. you may want to turn up the oven to 400 for the last 15min or so.. depends on your oven.. like i said, this recipe multiplies and divides uber easy. so just double it my man..

I've been super strict on my diet for the past month and will continue until Thanksgiving so I can have some of that. Haven't taken a "cheat" day in a month and a half so I can use them all then. Lol.

you can use pretty much any white cheese you want/have on hand.. i almost always use white cheddar and/or emmental, but you can use just about any cheese or combination of cheeses you like. just don't use feta or chevre or something.. hahah
