Okay so a friend of mine always smokes resin hits when he runs out of weed. His justification is that he smokes really good bud so the resin is of a better quality lol.

I always make fun of him for it and say shit like "I stopped doing that when I was 14" etc. The reason I stopped initially is because I read somewhere that average thc content in resin is less than 1% which is about the same as industrial hemp.

Anyways, do any of you ever smoke resin? Even when you're desperate? And if you do, does it actually give you a buzz or is it just a psychological thing (i.e. Smokers chewing gum to keep their mouth busy).

*Note: I once cut a quarter ounce of hash with an eigth of resin lol...Don't ask where I got all that resin from.....I really don't remember...But I do remember I made a ton of money off selling it, and everyone loved it! "Best hash ever dude...its like that afghan shit" hawhawhaw. I'm going to hell.

Hell yeah man it's tradition! I'll smoke anywhere between 1/4-1/2 before cleaning my pipe, which I'll scrape before hand and smoke the resin that night.

It usually coincides with times of no pot, but it get's me high for the night and is pleasant. It doesn't really taste bad like most people say...It's just something that's going to get my high; I'm not smoking it for the flavour.

I dont know. Whenever I smoke resin I feel high for a minute or two and quickly start to sober up. I think the only "highness" I'm feeling is from inhaling so much smoke.

unfortunately resin gets me high.

im talking on the sides inside of the bowl. resin thats been passed through the suction hole and into the body of the piece is likely to be much nastier. the bowl scrapings im guessing are better because when the flame hits the bowl, some of the plant resin must liquify and stick to the sides of the bowl.

my logic may be off but whatevs

Resin definitely fucks you up if there's enough. It's basically your piece's home-made hash and it contains THC in high concentration. Don't listen to smoke snobs that say resin isn't worth a shot.

lol i explained this to my friend and he tripped out and wanted to do it right away, but i told him its a process. hes hardheaded so he rolled up a joint, we smoked almost all of it, then rolled that roach into the next joint and smoked almost all of that etc etc

i cant really remember what happened but we smoked some joints that burned FOREVER!

What?! lol. For one, I don't think fiending for marijuana is at all possible--the only elements that exist are 1) Wanting to get stoned, or 2) Not wanting to get stoned.
Second...I've never once had resin-tasting coughs. That sounds pretty miserable.

i only scrape my pipe when i'm broke. which is often; at least once every two weeks.

didn't think you would. i'll try to describe: the resin tastes nasty, makes coughs nasty, the taste lingers in your mouth, resin sucks through, it's all over you fingers/pants, and it barely gives you a high. just a heavy head feeling. that combined with the nastiness of resin equals a nasty high. but the weak high alone is okay. it's a major relief when you're dry.

lolol I smoke the resin in my glass pieces that tobacco never touches and only fine quality bud goes through.... If it's late at night and my guy is asleep or i can't be arsed to go out and get some bud I'll just light the pipe as is and get a nice hit off the resin inside.

If i want to get really high I can scrape the resin from the bowl and smoke that. Either way it gets me high for a while. This will usually save me some cash and time and Really i could probably live without buying weed for a while.

But I am a bit of a smoke snob and prefer to smoke nice fresh bud flown into me from BC.

I guess what i mean by "dirty" is that it leaves me with kind of a muddy/tired feeling rather than that clear, crisp high i usually get. i still get high, but it doesn't last nearly as long. I use it mostly for transitioning from a long period of smoking to a period of sobriety. You're right SARS, fiending isn't the right word. I'm just referring to the "blah" feeling i get the day after i run out.

I'm pretty sure resin doesn't contain high contents of thc...The word resin is actually misused. Resin is the technical name for hash, or thc trichromes. What's in the pipe is like...left overs. I'm fairly confident pipe resin has less thc than shwag.

its a different high because many of the chemicals that are present in cannibas are not present in resin

its not dirty at all, its totally mental.
