blocking digits

why is it that virtually every service provider for cellulars charge extra fees to block calls/numbers?!
should i have to dish out more on top of phone bills just because irritating people found out what my number is and need to be blacklisted? i'm not getting why ignoring certain numbers/people = skin off AT&T's back.
oh yeah! because it fucking isn't.

can you block unwanted phone numbers from your cellphone free of charge/standard with plan? i'm thinking i should convert my service to a company that's more understanding of this sentiment.

im pretty sure 99% of the phones i've owned since like 2001, have had a "block/divert calls" feature in the security settings of the phone. Alternatively, Google + query and phone model works wonders.

Been there/done that. My model/provider is quite common, yet offers no help in that area without the prospect of monay per blockage in order to ban one or more #s.

It wouldn't be any skin off Comcast's back to give me all the cable channels since I already have the box and pay for basic, or wait, it would. They make more money by charging for extra features.

i don't see what's so hard about ignoring someone or just answering and telling them to fuck off. if they keep harassing it's likely worth the fee.
