A damn good excuse to get drunk on around Christmas is what it is.

It's actually and dairy based drink that's made with eggs, brown sugar and some some other seasonings too I believe. It's hard to describe.

Uh nutmeg is pretty essential in eggnog. It is absolutely terrible for you but it tastes real nice.

Also brandy or bourbon is definitely a better way to go than rum. Or you could add a hell of a lot of all three if you're like my family.

The store bought kind is very rich, so I cut it about 60/40 nog to milk. If you're going to try it for the first time, find a good, home-made recipe. It's much better than store bought (who would have known).

I don't know if it originally contained alcohol or not, but when you buy it it's usually alcohol free. I don't really like mixed drinks but eggnog, like the Mimosa, is a good way to drink all day at family events without everyone knowing how drunk you actually are.

That was the spice I was forgetting. I'm going to have to try that. I've just simply grown up drinking rum.

It's delicious but it's like 1/2 pure fat. It doesn't have to be drank with alcohol. I've always drank mine without.

it's so fucking good... but it's literally 400 calories a CUP. a fucking small paper cup. and that's before the alcohol. one glass of it + alcohol we are talking about a days worth of calories per glass
