modern warfare series has lost its appeal to me. MW2 is a fun game but its exactly the same as MW1 with new weapons and maps. all it is IS a repetitious frag fest there is no use of tactics all you can do is run and gun and toss grenades..after playing mw1 for almost 3 years im no longer interested in that type of gameplay. i couldnt wait to get this ps3 so i could get mw2 but now i have changed my mind. im buying among thieves and then bad company when it comes out in a month.

Edit: also, let me get this straight. You played that game for 3 years, it took you that long to realize that it was repetitious? What FPS isn't a little repetitious - enemy comes on the screen, you shoot them, repeat. There's as much tactics as any other FPS when you're playing with people you know who have mics, and if you liked the gameplay mechanics of the first enough to play for 3 years, why do you think they would modify something that works well?

Tribes 2 is the online fps of all time. You had a jetpack. You had 64 player games. You had multiple classes and an incredible amount of teamwork.

now that i'm getting the maps down i'm finally putting some respectable scores up. this game is fucking awesome, i should have jumped on board with cod years ago.

one thing i hate though is the amount of time knifing someone leaves you vulnerable. especially when you lose your streak bc of it

Get the tactical knife for one of the pistols, can stab like thrice per second. Can literally clear rooms with it, if you're using Commando Pro, with its sword like properties.

yea and if you're like me and you have 3 walls and some distance between you and your router, then it's even harder.

Having some distance between me and the router is terrible, it forces me to have to knife earlier than them so my signal can be sent and received.

man i used to play cod on caleague, i love the ww2 cod games (except that new one thats shit) cuz they were more about tactics and aim and skill than running around a map randomly shooting around corners or randomly shooting your grenade launcer into a window to get a kill. kishar sort of has a point. im not asking for ghost recon where you never even see the person who kills you, im just asking for a fun FPS with normal weapons and no function like air strikes or other bullshit that takes absolutely zero skill to get massive kills with

in the next cod they will have an instant win button, im sure. get 20 kills and press it you automatically win the level!
