i approve of byob. if everyone chips in, then the party will last longer, or there will be leftovers for the next one

however, if the owner plans on pong, he should get some cups in advanced. doesnt cost more than $3 for cups

I always bring a bottle of Tequila with me. One, most folks don't know anything about Tequila and supply Cuervo Gold or some other swill and I like to share my knowledge some. Two, the flask I have in my pocket contains the really good shit that I really don't want to share with anyone but a select few so I don't have to feel the slightest twinge of guilt when someone asks for a hit and I tell them to fuck off, with a smile of course.

My circle pretty much always brings their own booze to a party, unless it's been advertised as a keg party. Even then, money is pitched to tap it and people bring a little extra anyways.

Anyone willing to open their house up to a night of drunken shenanigans and surely a big morning clean-up has given enough!

i agree that if a party is strictly BYOB (no access if you don't) it's ridic. the host should supply much of the booze, and have a few others throw down. you don't want it to disappear? don't invite more people than the beer/liquor rations can satisfy or request that they don't bring a guest without notice. it's that simple.

i understand charging a small fee if there's a keg in order (collect from people who are drinking) like 5 bucks, but BYOB is weaksauce

Man you guy's better never come to Wisconsin to drink.

The fact that you some of you guys think that a house party should have alcohol free of charge strikes me as absolutely insane.

One perk of having a vag is that byob doesnt apply to ladies...

Don't drink cheap shit, look for '100% puro de agave' on the label, MODERATION since good Tequila will get you way more fucked up than swill and expect to pay more than $30 a bottle for anything halfway decent.

lol we just all had jobs and/or sold drugs.

like i said,if you don't want a lame party, you need to supply the 'starter liquor' to get it started, and people need to bring the rest

Ya I know you are, I kind of worded that wrong. Usually there is a few bottles lying around at parties here, what i'm saying is we drink way too fucking much in this state per person for a host to supply, they'd go broke yo.

because said session was obviously your decision to set up and facilitate, and pretty much your job to supply some booze and/or plot with some friends you invited or roommates to throw down on more alcohol for later. i've done that and helped clean up my friend's places the next day after it was ravaged by a sick party.

Expecting people to pay for your good time is pretty shit, imo.
