can size seems to be dependent on weather, in hot countries beer usually comes in smaller cans because if you drink normal cans theyre warm and horrible long before you get to the bottom.

i was in the balkans, where it is hot as fuck, and everyone considers a small can to be a half-beer (or 2/3rd or whatever)

0.5L bottles are fancy import beers only here. you can get cans of such a size and larger.

in bulgaria you could buy 3L bottles of beer for less than 3lev (very cheap). because of the financial crisis, alcohol was cheaper than ever when i visited. the beer was also very tasty, which i found to be shocking considering they bottled it in a plastic bottle. only the rankest beers here get plastic.

BeerAdvocate - Respect Beer.

If you like stouts, try porters too. More of a 'roasted nose', which is to say you smell the roasted aroma even as you drink it.

Here's an old favourite of my Wife. This one should be available in NoVA or you might have to make a road trip.

That almost sounds like a compliment Herbi, but back handed.... haha but maybe you really liked being 14 and drinking these things, so it could be really good I suppose too

I'll just assume it's all good

I never drank that one till I came up here. Although I am extensively familiar with Fuller's products. Gotta have the can on canoe/backpack trips and these dankies always came along.

the fullers are definitely better when bottle conditioned, but still better than most cans you'll find in most stores

Interesting style Kitch

I had a lot of fun at the brewery back in 04. They make the craziest stuff sometimes. I can't say I've loved them all, but they are always worth splitting a 6er to try it out, find out how drinkable it is or isn't.
