not to mention limitations in lab equipment, why do you think crystal comes in every color from clear to purple? There's really no solvent that will JUST dissolve LSD and not other lysergines so getting a truly pure product is very difficult, something that can only really be accomplished in large scale pharmaceutical labs (and if the legends are true, one particularly well stocked private lab in Oregon)

that's not true kitch there are plenty of ways to separate a single compound from a mixture. you can even separate R and S isomers of the same molecule if you want.

that may be true, I haven't gotten past chem 102 but I do know that different labs put out different purities of L.

i'm not saying the equipment isn't expensive, but all graduate labs and most undergraduate labs have flash columns

then there's the issue of precursors, and getting lab time without anyone looking over your shoulder.

i wasn't suggesting anyone use a graduate lab to make drugs, merely that such equipment is common

one of my chem professors told me he was offered half a million to make some LSD but he didn't because he said he would feel terrible if something ever happened to some one that took it.
