I guess this rant might come out a little a racist but i need to vent. Enslaving black people was completely wrong, the chinese were enslaved too, they pretty much built the entire railways in both canada and america. They don't complain these days because they know how great it is to live a free country and there are still families that die trying to get here today.

The thing that pisses me off is all the black people that complain about slavery and don't want to work because of it. "it's not fair that my ancestors were enslaved and the white family's weren't" How long does it take to realize that life isn't f*ckin fair.

If all these black people keep on bitchin about reparations, maybe we should pay, they can have a one way ticket back to africa where they can starve and get raped, get aids, or have their 10 year old get recruited into some kind of war over diamonds or religion. To be honest i do like most black people, i just dont like n*ggers which are the ones that don't do anything in life and just sell or smoke crack.

I can't edit the title of my post, but i do not believe white people should pay for reparations. I'm assuming that the people who called me an idiot do not know what exaggeration means so i'll include the dictionary meaning: the act of exaggerating or overstating. I simply said we should pay for effect. I just wanted to say that both canada and america are great places to live and i guess i wouldn't literally pay for a plane ticket for people that hate it here to get the f*ck out. They should just use welfare dollars to do it, but i guess in the end thats my money too.

Reparations is a rediculous idea, because all those who both caused the harm, and were the victims of harm, are now dead. There's no one left to blame, and no one left to pay. To make the ancestors of one group pay the ancestors of another group is not only rediculously unfair, it's impossible. The only institutions with the financial resources to make the payments represent, and therefore derive the funds from, both groups.

All this, and similar issues, keep alive is a barrier of anger and hatred between people. It is enough to acknowledge that slavery is wrong, and a practice that should be left dead, because that is all that CAN be done. We must move on from the offenses of the past, not linger in them.
