****The OFFICIAL officially home thread****

A friend here mentioned something about keeping my return under their hat until I made an official post.....

Well I thought I'd slip back in somewhere in the back, but I'm a sucker for an ***OFFICIAL*** thread.

For about the last month I've been checking in from PA, where I was visiting family, friends and actually saw The Jester out in Pitt as well. Before that there were a few days in Istanbul I got to check in at a hostel. I was up early drinking coffee, so I thought I'd pacify a 15 day absence craving. That was nice too.

BUT................. ..

I just wanted to say I am officially back.

I had a really good time. It was a heady mix of marvel and amazement, as well as, survival translations, train connections, food/shelter/water type of thing. Also managing a marriage

There were a lot of highlights from each place that we saw, but if I was pressed I would say I like Mostar, Bosnia the most, with Istanbul and the Croatian coast coming in tied for second.

Until I get these up on facebook, I'll just post a few for now. Once they are on there they are a lot easier to connect to here. (Attached on the bottom)

Also here is a youtube clip or so of the band on the bottom pic. This was a party in Budapest on the Danube that happened on a docked ship. When you stopped jumping you could feel the whole boat bobbing up and down!

These guys and girls are all real people real instruments and vocal. I think it's a pretty cool mix of Balkan folk music and hard house bass. What ever the the case, there aren't too many things that have made me so spontaneously dance.

I hope you are all doing well, Officially

Much love
SageTree
