it's different because it's isomerized [whipped], which changes the molecular structure and like doubles the potency. soo instead of being like ~47-54% thc it's like 90+.

you p much have to smoke it with torches like they were, because it melts upon contact. whenever i have, i even store it in the freezer and break pieces off as i need.

Isomerization is supposedly a chemical change from I think it was the CBD's to a supposed THC-3 by refluxing with a strong mineral acid(I think).

What MIGHT be happening there though is THC-A decarboxylase to I believe standard THC delta 9. This process occurs naturally durring the curing phase of harvest, if done properly and without haste. However that happening over a steam bath(100*C maximum/waters boiling point), is doubtful. Possible, but doubtful. If you wanted that, then it would be ideal to heat your bud's similarly to how one might before preparing green-dragon.

I say what he did though with the steam-bath was smart, it evacuates excess solvent which many probably undermine, while it taints their final product. Though I doubt THC decarboxylates at such a low temperature.

Essentially what is right there is dried butane honey oil. I don't doubt that that is potent, but I don't believe that is 'budder'. Budder supposedly is in the 90% range with THC and 9%ish CBD/CBN's with a small figure for water(THC is hygroscopic) and other contaminants. at least I thought?

The only feasible way to do that to my knowledge is via column chromatography. Perhaps ethyl acetate and heptane would be a good binary solvent system, but you'd have to play with it, and anyone who's done column chrom & TLC, knows it's an art and requires lots of patience. If chromatography doesn't seperate the CBD's/CBN's from the THC's than perhaps recrystalization would(but loss of quantity for quality), or maybe isomerization of said CBD's to THC-3 would be adequate but there would still be the CBN's(unless I have confused the two which is likely).

If budder were 90% THC(s) it should appear very amber and amorphous, semi translucent(almost think Jurrasic park with the amber mosquito resin, but a little more red). It won't crystalize unless under an inert atmosphere such as a schlenk flask purged with a nitrogen gas, or perhaps another noble gas(argon is common for welding ). Crystals are just for flash anyways, don't really need those. Oh who am I kidding, it's not fun until it's crystalline.
