There are so many reasons why that map is completely inaccurate, the least of which is Plate Tectonics, that all but ran the theory of Lemuria out of town.

i remember hearing about 2012 on some old ass discovery channel documentary about the mayans. i must've been like 8 or 9 years old, and i realized that i'd be around to see what all the fuss was about. they presented it as a kind of doomsday, and i think it really fucked with me

this thread isn't about 2012 but i feel like talking about it. supposedly it will be the date of alignment with "the galactic center" wetf that means. and once that happens -- or once we can observe it -- won't the light we are observing have traveled many thousands of light years to reach our eyes and instruments, meaning that the alignment already occurred? what i'm getting at is the absurdity of our linear thinking. "alignment," and whatever you can imagine that concept to entail, permeates the entirety of all experience in a quantum way. you can activate it or not activate it. it is, in a very real sense, a mere way of seeing things. you don't have to wait to welcome it

I much prefer Terrence McKenna's theory on 2012 as being more of a consciousness shift, as history ends one epoch and moves into the next, with earth moving into a 4D reality. Global doom? Maybe, but I'll just wait and see.
