Thanks to snowmayne for putting me on cause Ive bought 200 dollars worth of clothing for 50, and when Im dressed in nice clothes I catch a lot of double-takes. It feels good.

Because it makes them feel important, special, what have you. To have something that others want, alot of people will pay through the nose. The thing is, if you took every dollar frivolously spent on enhancing an ego that, in fact, doesn't exist, and you spent it making the world a better place instead (like feeding and clothing starving people, for example), the world would be so much better that those people would have a real reason to feel important or special.
