Menthol Bong Hits

I got a semi-cheap new bong the other day as a replacement to the shit I left behind in Texas. Its cool, nice colors, interesting shape, good price. Problem is, it has no ice catcher. I have come to really like that cooling effect on the smoke, so I wanted to find a way to emulate that without ice. Name: orange bong.jpg

I came up with the idea of putting a little bit of peppermint extract in with the water. A couple drops gives the smoke that cool mouth feeling you get when you eat a mint, makes the exhale feel cooler, and makes the bong smell less bong-ish. It reminds me of smoking a menthol. I hate that nasty smell a well used bong exudes, and for some security conscious people, its a bit of a giveaway. Add a couple of drops of vanilla extract and the bong smells exactly like vanilla tobacco.Maybe a way to explain away the resin to a cop?

It looks like you could just drop some ice in the neck and it would stay, given the bend in there. It's not a true ice catcher, but it should do the trick.

Seriously, just use the bend. Don't go throwing ice cubes down there though incase you crack it, angle it and let 'em slide down.

The neck is too small in diameter, and I don't feel like making a mess just to bust down some ice cubes. Besides, ice can't make your bong taste/smell better right?

if you must mentholate your smoke you could try breaking open a camel crush and get the little menthol bead and empty it into your water.

careful though, i hear the menthol beads burn readily

first of all, who is smoking pot that tastes like shit and is harsh?

thats the only reason I could think of, to change the flavor of the water.

Oh, and if you cant use ice, use cold water dert.

negative. just bought it. I really like the look so the eyesore issue is not really there and as far as something more legit for the price...where? A Comparable bong at a local headshop will run between $150 and $200, and i haven't found a better cheaper one elsewhere online.
