I think you're reading into it a little too much. You could take every word to do with weed and replace it with alcohol in that quote, and it'd still be reasonable. It's just the dude's personality, his own relationship with the stuff and how he feels comfortable with it. Nothing in that quote is evidence the man has been brainwashed.

Like really, what's wrong with him doing it only once a month? He even goes so far to say that the main reason he does it so infrequently is because he gets so high he "really trip"s. Nowhere does he even hint at the substance being addictive.

ps, I hear smoking too much mary jane can make you sensitive.

Yea, most celebrities that advocate marijuana use are unsually unfavorable for the cause, I.E. some rapper pouring a $400 bottle of champagne over a bunch of half naked beautiful women while smoking a joint. Where this would be awesome and I would love to do it, it doesn't exactly look good when it comes to legislation.

thats exactly my point, most people dont consider it mature to go on benders. if an adult goes on a bender they are looked down upon and its seen as a bad thing. but for weed its like thats what you're supposed to do? go weed fucking crazy for a few days and then treat it like poison the rest of the month? at least thats what i felt he implied. i just didnt like the way he framed his response, and you can tell alot about a persons perspective from the way they frame their conversation.

I really do think you're reading too far into it. He never implied any sort of 'it's supposed to be that way' kind of thing. He just said what he did and why. You clearly disagree. But...I think that's all that's really going on here: you have different ways of doing things.

Personally, I find weed to be a demotivator when smoked too often. It creates a sort of underserved contentment, in that you can be doing absolutely nothing with your life and still feel alright by that if you're high, whereas if you were sober you'd be like, 'well fuck this, I gotta make some changes.'

That's for me anyways.

In my eyes, or in my life at least, doing nothing is the 'grand scheme of life.' We have no purpose, so I compare myself to cattle when I feel bored, and think, "Hey, I've got it a lot better, not only can I contemplate what's going on, and walk off this acre at free will, I can get high!!" Resulting in that arguably "undeserved" sense of contentment, much like a cow.
