When I was in middle and high school I used to come home from school and watch this show. I'm pretty sure it was the closest thing I had to a counselor or grounding activity. Afterwards, the evening progressed very nicely.

Bob was a friend of my neighbor growing up, and he also lived around my area.As well as hanging around in my home state of alaska.

I used to get high and watch Bob, but id always fall asleep due to his soothing voice.

He loved pot and acid and was very much as he seemed on tv.

One time this girl and her friend were fishing when they were little, and one of them caught a fish, and bob walks up to them and offers to take it off the hook, and the one little girl said no thanks and proceeded to start stabbing the fish with something and the girl i knew said that Bob just looked on in horror and simply walked away.

Oh bob, how I wish you were still alive.

I agree...I LOVE to watch that guy paint. He seems like he was a very nice guy & yeah, his voice is super-soothing. He was 1 great human-being, from what I've heard. He was big on helping animals. Seemed like he was the type who'd give you the shirt off his back.
Dan, you say he liked weed? I can definitely believe that. I think if you looked-up the word 'laidback' in the dictionary, there would be his picture.
I think he died of stomach cancer(?) at age 52. 4 yrs YOUNGER than me. He must've been getting some good pain-killers (probably morphine), as you'd never know he was hurting from his appearance/performance.

i love bob ross so much.

when i was younger we'd (my mom, dad, sister and me) sit there amazed and in awe of him and the paintings. everyonce in awhile, someone would say all amazed..."omg, he SO good...how does he...look how he...happy little tree...ahhhh."
