"Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke
It's true

But you see it's all a show
So keep em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh
Is on you"

-Monty Python, "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life"

I saw this on a building somewhere in Toronto, always liked it:

Real Eyes
Realize
Real Lies

From our hostel in Bosnia:

"No Drags"
"No noisy after 24"

From my facebook 'quotes':

"Hatred doesn't end hatred. Loving is the only act which changes hate, this is ancient wisdom" - Buddha

"If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion." - His Holiness the Dalai Lama

"Make your words soft and sweet because you might have to eat them"

“The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green earth, dwelling deeply in the present moment and feeling truly alive.” -Thich Nhat Hanh

On being a renuncicant: " I have left but a few petty pleasures and a few rupees and an empire of bliss. How then have I denied myself anything? I know the joy of sharing my treasure, Isn't that a sacrifice? The short sighted worldly folk are the REAL renuncicants! They relinquish an unparalleled Divine possession for a handful of earthly toys!" - Bhaduri Mahasaya

"A king asked a sage to explain the Truth. In response the sage asked the king how he would convey the taste of a mango to someone who had never eaten anything sweet. No matter how hard the king tried, he could not adequately describe the flavor of the fruit, and, in frustration, he demanded of the sage "Tell me then, how would you describe it?" The sage picked up a mango and handed it to the king saying "This is very sweet. Try eating it!" - Hindu teaching

"Better than if there were thousands of meaningless words is one meaningful word that on hearing brings peace."- Dhammapada: 8

"Civilized men have gained noble mastery over energy, matter, and inanimate nature generally, and are rapidly
learning to control physical suffering and premature death. But, by contrast, we appear to be living in the Stone
Age so far as our handling of human relationships is concerned. Our defecit in social knowledge seems to void
at every step our progress in physical knowledge... Gains in medical science are widely negated by the poverty
that results from war and from trade barriers erected largely by hatred and fear... Rivalries and hatreds
between groups are nothing new. What is new is the fact that technology has brought these groups too close
together for comfort... We have not yet learned how to adjust to our new mental and moral proximity."

One thoughtful 'tag' I walked past in Vancouver was simply

'History' in cursive...

I thought it was a clever reminder that we are writing history with every breath we take, ever move we make.....Sting is watching us

Indeed I was. I was even considering taking over the site but getting a hold of Lunaria was always hit and miss, and I lack the know-how to run a website. (although now my brother could handle the tech side of things for me, and he's got the server space, too)
