Say what you will about Mercury but....

....that guy brought us the lulz through questions of ambiguous intent.

I really enjoyed the things he asked and I often think he got so much heat because he was asking questions that maybe we were all too proud to ask or too proud to troll.... who can say though.

He hasn't been around and I thought I'd post a search and perhaps people can find some quote worthy posts or maybe just bump some funnies?

The enthralling openers that had their hooks in us..... damn now we have to say something

Quote:
Black peoples hair......
I feel for them, I really do. I didn't used to realize how much of a pain in the ass their type of hair must be to manage. I did know it was tightly curled, naturally. I just didn't give much thought to how they felt about it inside.

Do you think you could just approach a fine group of females? Probably not. But why not? Why are they so intimidating? Is it their bright smiles? Their flamboyance? What's the worst that can happen.

It's perfectly natural to want it. And girls are just people, not angels. I guess it's all about purpose. You need to approach them with a reason, otherwise it tends towards harassment.

One way is to come bearing gifts and compliments, no? It's science.
Ones that flew fairly well:

And sometimes we had good answers too:

+1 for Hitler

Second, he cared deeply about the people he cared anything about. He reportedly had an astonishing memory and could remember nearly everyone he ever met by face, name and circumstance. He often showed acts of extreme kindness and sympathy to those in need. He even reportedly knew more SS officers personally than anyone else. This added to his persona as a people person. An excellent trait.

+1 for Hitler

He was an avid reader and arist. He was deep into philosiphy, economics, history and politics. And he also painted a lot in his free time. He was also exercised religiously and was in perfect shape for his age. This meant that he was a well rounded person who went to great lengths to take care of his mind and body.

+1 for Hitler

He masterminded and exicuted a plan to take control of Germany. And he was successful.

+1 for Hitler

He committed genocide, which is a serious war crime. This lead him to suicide.

-1 for Hitler

So as a person I'd say Hitler made a great role model in certain aspects but the whole genocide thing overshadows an otherwise prosperous man.

damn sage...

you make it sound like he's dead.

I know what you mean though....merc can be....entertaining, to say the least.

He reminds me of my cousin Eddie. Amazingly brilliant in a very stupid way. But he's family, so if you wanna kick his ass, ya gotta go though all us first! Sigh.

I do remember when he disappeared before and came back. I thought he was grounded.

On the other hand....

Didn't that Hitler thread almost get him banned???? You stirring some shit up here sage?

Merc makes the odd amusing post among a host of banal stupid ones but I'm a little perturbed by all the pedo threads.

Merc never told me exactly how he feels about me.

I must be the like the bookcase against the wall to him. I add something to the room, but you don't really notice it.

throw enough shit at a target, one or two of them will probably hit the mark.

that's how I feel about merc's posting. But I never had any beef with him. When did he leave?

When I re-read it I thought it did look a little past tense, but don't confuse that feeling of love and sentimentality with grieving over the dead, who actually aren't

I like Merc and by no means am I stirring shit, that is actually why I miss him though!! .

The guy more often than not can get us talking about whatever he posts, for better or worse.

And you make the call who is who, but bubble bubble toil and trouble... but when Merc starts a good thread it's like this....

I'm pretty sure he is dead. The mods obviously had him bumped off, seeing as how he was the leader of The YAK.

YAK

good idea for somethings like, missing member. We all know each other differently and think about different members, so I actually like the cross reference and solidarity that group could provide. It's not a bad check and balance.

damn his last post was only a few weeks ago niggas probably just on vacay or some shit

hes gonna see this when he gets back and it'll boost his already over-inflated e-ego resulting either in MORE hilarious posts due to self-confidence in what he has to say or shittier posts where he feels he doesnt have to try as hard to win the love of his peers

should be interesting to see how this plays out.

I agree, but his activeness level was trailing for a while....

And I agree, sharing a little love (legally) can't hurt the situation we have here.

For the record, I was in full ethical support of him nailing the 15 year old. Practically I didn't support it, but ethically (ie: bonerly).
