i noticed that the random links that show up on the side of the screen when you are browsing something on google or youtube and a whole bunch of other sites you get links to things for other things that you previously looked for on other sites... like for example i bought this game off steam and now its like everysite has advertisments for that game. a while ago i was upgrading my motorbike, and i looked up some stuff and then after that id be looking for something else somewhere or just surfing the internet and, all the google ads and ads on some blogs i read were all motorbike parts, and before that i was experimenting w/ rc planes and etc etc. my point is that even your intenets are trying to trick you, so watch out, just cuz you're not paranoid doesnt mean there not coming to get you, be afraid be very afraid.

google has been watching and targeting advertising since it's inception, myspace and facebook and their ilk are around for no other reason than as a giant "free" test market for products/services...

The Good

no one cares that you wank it to rc planes and motorbike parts, except those trying to sell you said materials...

Steam creeps me out.

Why?

When I have it logged in, sometimes I will be trying to delete a random video file off my comp, and it won't let me because it says it's "in use". Okay, so then I shut down steam and it's no longer in use and I can delete it..

What's up with that?

I don't find too much product placement on websites I visit. Usually what I search for is what type of products being advertised on the left or right side bars.
