They'll probably laugh at you and wonder how you lived amongst the dinosaurs.

I still can't believe that there are now people born in the 1990's that it's legal to fuck.

Then again, you can see why I think this way: I was born during the Johnson admin.

It's sad when you're teaching a class and you ask if kids remember the 2000 election and they look at you with blank stares.

Where's my cane and laxatives?

2040? If they are hospice nurses at that time, then probably. Yes.

15 years ago, I was spending about 2 hours creating a 60 minute mix tape to play in my near the top shelf AM/FM cassette with musical search and auto-reverse.

I had a case behind the drivers seat that held like 24 cassettes.

I always had change in my car so I could STOP and use a PAY PHONE.

And, the internet was pretty much bbs boards. Maps? Weather? 99 out of a 100 things you google weren't available as links, not to mention the fact that the concept of Google hadn't even been conceived.

Hello, cell phone. I'll never be jaded about them.

And I can store hundreds of songs on it? That I transfer in minutes from one source to another, can play through my car's AM/FM Mp3 player?

And I can take pictures? That I don't have to wait and pay processing costs for?

Imagine the craziest technology innovation you can think of. One that would garner a geniune 'You're batshit insane' from someone who heard you say it.

That's how I would of felt in 1995 if anyone had told me the internet all that it offers would be permanently threaded (haha) into the fabric of modern society.

If they told me about the phone/camera/music player, I probably would of distanced myself politely but quickly.

I guess to put that today's terms, I would say...

'in 10 years, cell phone design will have taken the shape of hearing aids, and you will have glasses that allow you to video conference (to say the least) and serve to correct vision or serve as sunglasses or safety glasses.
Digital Tinting allows you to select the best shade or tint level, and will auto polarize for glare. Everything you need a CPU or a cell phone for will be integrated into glasses and an ear piece, and you will be able to see at least 100 yards through the thickest fog, heaviest snowstorm, or murkiest water.'

I've heard that by 2040 we'll be able to download our brains (personality, consicence, etc) into a computer....hell if that's true I'm gonna make sure I get my hands on a 30 foot tall Megatron replica to store my shit in!
