use a glass stir rod from a lab supply store

ive used a glass rod to light bowls, its more trouble than its worth really. u need alot of blow torch gas or jet lighters to get the rod hot, and then it only stays hot for a few seconds so you have to keep getting it hot again for each hit. that and it can be a little dangerous in a group setting. hot glass doesnt really look different than cold glass so expect burns.

if you're concerned about inhaling butane fumes or w/e, go with some hemp wick. a popular one around here is "bee line"

also, ive used one of these and its much easier and safer to use than a glass rod and blow torch.

they used to sell "sun pipes" which were a glass pipe with a magnifying glass attached over the bowl so it could pivot over the bowl or away from it, so u could supposedly light it by focusing the suns rays on your weeed. that would be sweet actually i would like to try to light some bud with a magnifying glass and see if it tastes better... probaly would work even better with amazingly bomb weed.
