scott pilgrim vs the world

man, i thought this movie was going to blow something fierce after that suckfest kick-ass came out and stunk up theaters for miles around, but this movie...this movie was really good.

Mike Cera finally got himself out of shitty roles with jack black and playing faggoty versions of himself with faggy mustaches and no plot line at all, it was awful mike and dont act like it wasn't, there for a while, you're lucky you were fucking awesome on arrested development or id of given up on your awkward ass like years ago.

So check this out if you haven't, its pretty decent, and that home alone kids lil brother is decent in it.

Besides anybody who hasn't had the fantasy of having a street fighter like battle in the middle of irl is fucking lying.

I agree with everything you say, except that thing about kick-ass.

I loved how much visual flair the movie had, it was very well made.

i think they should have just made the movie about big daddy and hit girl and left the dork out of it, that was my only real beef with the film.

the dork was needed to introduce us to the principle super baddie, and his son, the secondary flip/floppy baddie, and to show us that these people were just people, not delusional psychos with a super hero fetish...The story would have been just about a psycho with a fucked up revenge agenda without him...

I'm waiting on Pilgrim to come out on DVD, as I usually do (cheap broke bastard here - $1.00 RedBox suits me fine!) and as I did with KickAss. I liked KA a lot, but agree that Big Daddy and Hit Girl were the best parts of the movie. But, it DID make me laugh a lot

If you're that cheap and broke, then download torrents for free like the rest of us normal people.

red box lol, I have movies months before they come out on red box.

Yeah pretty broke down here in small-town-Kentuckyville! I use Shareaza and have been downloading movies from easynews since about 2001. Easynews is much easier, as the Shareaza and torrent sites usually stall out mid-way through a download and I end up deleting the partials after 3-4 days waiting for that last half. I'm not that hard up for entertainment anyway - you should see/hear my neighbors :P

iono Dan, I don't think it's Mike Cera's fault. .he gets type casted, he plays the awkward dude too well . But yeah I liked both Scott Pilgrim and Kick Ass. .originally thought Scott Pilgrim was 3d, was the only reason I really went to see it. Hadn't really heard anything of it cept for the obscure billboards that I didn't realize were for a movie till the day before I went to see it, they look like a JCpenny add or something

I think it's more the surprise of it being much better than it looks upon first glance; that type of movie is hard to advertise.

Still been meaning to go see Scott Pilgram!

I wouldn't (didn't) say it was the second coming, but it was up to par for what I thought it'd be. My ex-wife enjoyed the "second coming" quite a bit, though, so don't knock it!

i failed to say that scott pilgrim would be awesome on acid.

its shot like the director was on acid, so im guessing thats why.

also, props to those who notice the occult influences on the film.

Seriously, if I wanted to I could just throw the next gay guy I come across right up against a wall and give him an anal assault and he wouldn't complain one bit.
