Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About a Father
"His* Father"
Absolutely Incredible. Everyone should watch this movie. (Thread in FFA so more people see it; it's that good)

I'd be interested in seeing everyone's opinion in this thread after it's been viewed, it's powerful stuff!

Just watched it, don't really know what to say... I guess I'll just rant a bit. This just adds to my ever-growing frustration with the Canadian justice system. I see no reason why the people responsible for this tragedy (permitting a murderer to look after a child) shouldn't be held accountable for their actions. Of course that doesn't happen, they just waste more taxpayer money on a commission that does nothing (I'm sorry to diminish the efforts of the parents, but I doubt anything came of it). For the rest of the population who aren't above the law, making negligent decisions that result in deaths that are ultimately deemed unnecessary and preventable (by the above-mentioned commission) results in charges of criminal negligence and possible jail time. I would hazard a guess that the retard judge who allowed this to happen wasn't even reprimanded for her obvious negligence. Edit: on further thought, perhaps the law itself is to blame here. However, I still find it hard to believe that the law commands a judge to automatically grant custody of an infant to someone accused of murder. Last edited by Puffman; 09-01-2010 at 10:07 PM. |
