cell phone companies have no use to monitor txts, piggies "need" warrants to seize, most companies don't turn over records unless it is to homeland security for their needs....Homeland security doesn't care about drugs unless you are importing or terrorizing...

You are more likely to get popped on a social networking site or forum than you are for your texts, unless you are on a radar for other reasons...

True, but the texts/phone records are just a means to gather evidence when someone is already building a case, meaning you did something to get on "their" radar....No one cares about the content if there is no context....

The content of your texts is only saved for a month after that it's just a record of who you texted when. If youre smart in your verbage you should be fine.

Not at all, the PD in my city actually has a "Tech" division who watch for announcements of parties where underage drinking could take place, If you make a ton of drug references in the context of personal use or 1st hand knowledge of someone else use they will use that as probable cause to serve facebook with a warrant/subpoena for your messages ect et al. This is not hearsay they had a write op on that whole "tech" department uncovering leads that led to over 50 drug and alcohol related arrests just this summer.

Just be careful be obscure and dont provide context.

No judge is going to risk their career over a string of messages that read
