I really want to move to NYC

Idk why but everything I do/see seems to remind me of NY for some reason. I know it's probably never gonna happen, but it's weird how things are like that.

Seriously, if I wanted to I could just throw the next gay guy I come across right up against a wall and give him an anal assault and he wouldn't complain one bit.

you seemed to have trouble in school recently feeling alienated and going to campus without attending any classes

maybe NYC is too big of a step right now

but i could be totally wrong and what Sage said is best, go over there a few days at a time and just chill out and see how you feel there

but unless you have a fuckload of money or a really good job, they rent out broom closets for millions over there, rent is killer

but follow your heart!

what part of the shitty?

It might help with the conceptualization if you could specify what part of the city is luring you...Then visit and see if reality stands up to the expectation...I say, you are young once and everyone should move somewhere at least 1000 miles away from their home town at least once before they are 25....Helps a person get to know them self, and what they really want out of life...

I concur. It's a fabulous perspective shift.

Why limit yourself, agewise? Leni Riefenstahl moved from Germany to the Sudan where she lived sporadically, in her 90s.

That's probably a good idea. Once I find a job that's what I'm gonna do. I've got a couple friends who live equally between here and there and I'm sure they'd let me tag along for a weekend or two. It'd be a decent way to get a feel of it, by someone who's lived there for a long time.

Yeah I'm shit broke and have essentially no direction which is why this is probably never going to happen(like 90% of the things I want to do, see: bike across the country; join WWOF; move to Hawaii, Vancouver and Europe; get my PhD; rehab a classic car etc)

Not sure, I'm thinking Brooklyn cause it's near Manhattan but not so expensive. I don't really have any expectations about it though, which is weird. It could be shitty, I just want to do it for like a year. Exactly like you said to, before I'm 25. The experience I guess, is what I'm looking for. Maybe go to NYU if I can but I'd probably just be working all day every day.

Well Bearman. Try not to be defeated, of all the things on the last, this is highly feasible.

This is a heady about NYC!!

Son of Sam was arrested the year this song came out although, it's claimed, it's not for that reason, so I guess it's just a damned crazy coincidence.
