Righty but can bat equally well either handed...which is about the ONLY thing I can do well left handed.

I thought if you were left handed it as implied that you were ambidextrous......

in chemistry you name stereo isomers by the arrangement of substituents on each stereo center.

molecules with a right hand arrangement get an (R) for rectus, meaning right.
molecules with a left arrangement get and an (S) for sinsistra, meaning left.

i think they both come from latin

I think they are Latin as well. The actual word 'sinister' is from the same root word meaning 'left'. History has said that us lefties are evil.

But you say that rectus means right. That sounds like rectum. Does this mean righties are assholes???
