yeah i remember hearing about this being made awhile back and really wanting to check it out. think it was produced by bills IRL best bud Kevin Booth who is an accomplished filmmaker in his own right. looks really cool.
more people need to know who bill was. straight up. in the UK where this doc came from he got really big. Q&A:

Bill Hicks is one of those rare social commentators who just cuts right through the bullshit as if there were no other alternative. It's a shame we lost him.

as a comedian your job is to express your politics and beliefs in a humorous fashion. i dont think you can separate the funny from the politics and beliefs because the funny WAS the politics and beliefs. people admire him for his ability to succinctly analyze and make light of aspects of our culture that other comedians dont even touch. and he did it in a way that was years ahead of his time.
anyway, dick sucking aside, thats (hero worship) what happens to anyone who dies before they hit their prime. people who actually reach their potential are much less interesting to other people, for some reason. better to burn out than to fade away and all that.
