Quick question and I really want killa's opinion on this because he is the front line here...

Open Carry is protesting this week in Manhattan Beach, the members are attending the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair carrying their unloaded, unconcealed weapons to this family fair to uphold their second amendment right to keep and carry.

I'm all for it, if you would like to carry an unloaded weapon on your hip in California, it is perfectly legal to do so. Personally carrying an unloaded weapon on public display is about as bright as wearing a white sheet to a taping of An Evening at The Apollo but it's your life.

Should the fair organizers, who are not part of the city or the government in any way, have the right to restrict access to the fair for those open carrying?

Open Carry was ready to sue the fairs organizers to force them to drop the 'No Weapons' restriction at the fair, the fairs organizers decided to spend their funds in a wiser way than legal fees and conceded to Open Carry and removed the 'No Weapons' text from the signage.

MBPD has stated that no arrests will be made for open carry of weapons however they cannot legally refuse a private persons arrest request if the situation is warranted or if they come within 1,000 feet of a school, which a significant part of the fair does. Basically they are going to do what is required by law to do and nothing more.

So killa, what do you think, aside from the obvious which is openly carrying an unloaded weapon is just plain stupid and knowing that yes indeed they do have a constitutional right to carry an openly displayed, unloaded weapon legally here in California.

These guys just a bunch of attention whores out for some camera time?

Nice gun by the way.
