I'd rather you go in to your employer, tell them you wish to pay your own income tax...

and then don't.

Since there is no legal statute that allows the (American) federal government to tax your income...simply refuse to pay it.

that would be a start.

Having been on both sides, I'd rather have a W-2 than a 1099.

And having been in countries that don't have income taxes, I'd rather live in one that does.

state and city income taxes are no different.They are based on an illegal federal structure/basis.

I don't pay those either.

I've done so half my working life. Once I realized my SSI and SSD had reached the required minimums , I simply dropped out of the slavery game.
