A Return to Liquor

I'm way sick of beer. I have spent too much money on fancy beers in the past 6 months, and I've had enough. Also beer has gotten too snooty, and overrun with faggotry and hipsterism.

Tonight I watched two hour-long shows on History about stills and the history of different boozes. Went to the likka sto and bought a bottle of Jack Daniels Tennesse Whiskey. I felt like drinking a booze with coke and it struck me as the most appropriate.

Jack Dans is great if you've got the money for it. the great thing about whiskey is that quality is actually quality. I'm sorry but a $20 bottle of vodka is almost identical to a $100 bottle, whereas whiskey gives back what you put in (as does teqilla, gun, rum...hell almost everything, never mind, forgot where i was going with that one)

vodka is clearly the superior drink, just water and ethanol, the darker liquors are dark because of impurities that make you super hungover.

purity is not the same as superiority. theres a reason you dont just mix everclear and water, because the impurities taste better. when i drink i should be enjoying myself, its a celebration of the moment, and the hangover reminds me im retarded, its a keen cycle.

im celebrating right now with all i had, some gin and vodka and a bunch of tequilla mixed with some fruit shit...hawaiin punch? not too good but doing a good job.

If you drink enough of anything it'll make you hungover. While congeners play a role it's minimal at best. All that sugary sweet bullshit is worse for you than any dark liquor. Besides, whiskey beats vodka any day.

Pardon, I was thinking of Gentleman Jack.

Though to be honest I thought single barrel fell under TN Whiskey as well rather than bourbon. I'm not sure I've ever seen a bottle of it though. On a bourbon note, the first new Makers Mark in 50 some years, Makers 47 is fantastic. If I gonna drink bourbon I generally do either regular Makers or Bulliet which is a little more smooth.
