wow, it is bad out there...
now i understand there are some people who claim their objections are purely based on scripture, and frankly most of these people will never change their minds(as is their right)

we shouldn't have to worry about them, except for the fact they are heavy political players

and it's really bad among african-americans, many of these preachers are nothing more then bull connors and george wallace behind a pulpit...

culture is no excuse for bigotry

People's habit of "His lifestyle threatens me even thought it has nothing to do with me" thinking is something I'll never get. I mean, what is there between people if not their differences? We already spend 24/7 hanging out with someone EXACTLY like us. I would think that any change in perspective would be welcome.

I don't believe they're born that way. I think they are stunted by environmental influences, usually during childhood. I think it's how they grow up. I think they've been conditioned by the people and circumstances in their lives. And some of them even do it just because they think it's cool. They do it for attention.

Of course, they could choose not to be that way. They could choose another path. Despite their conditioning and upbringing and societal influences, despite thinking it's cool, despite who they are now or what they've done in the past, they could choose to do differently. To be different.
