You got that right, a brand new top of the line MacBook Pro i7 with the hi-res screen. And no, it has nothing to do with the Apple logo (although it does look nice), it's mostly about OSX and them making the best constructed computers (build, finish, feel) in the world.
I'm responding to your de-rail cause it is also simply asinine. Now stay on topic.

If you bought a Mac because it's "top of the line", then you are in fact, retarded. Nothing I have in my closet has a giant logo across it. Some of my "graphic" tees have some graphical stuff on them, but I don't have a single "abercrombie" across anything I wear. The biggest advertisement on them is a little moose on the front pocket. So I don't quite get what stupid fucking point you are trying to make. Most top line clothing companies don't need to spray their name across the shirt. It's why a Polo can be recognized by a dime sized polo player on a horse from a mile away. Not a single bit of my clothing has the brand name strewn across it, and it's pretty much all I wear. I pay the prices for most of it because it IS comfortable and lasts. And as far as the Mac thing goes. Try google searching "are Macs overpriced". There is nothing special inside of a Mac that makes it any better than a PC. In fact if you didn't know this, Mac components aren't unique to the computer world. For the most part they are anything you can buy at Newegg, except Mac rebrands them then puts a 300% markup. The Mac computer is the prime example of a company taking advantage of consumer ignorance or lazyness. You either don't know any better and pay ass rape prices for their computers that are no better than PC equivalents, or know better and are too lazy to just build your own if you need supercomputing power for some reason. To say you paid that much for anything other than the ability to show off your sexy Mac is probably a lie. |
