so who else is cramming for midterms?

im five days into a cram session for various 3rd year engineering exams, over the past 3 hours i have learned all of advanced mechanics of materials that i was supposed to learn over 10 or 11 lectures plus tutorials (mohr's circle ftw). i have 4 exams (differential calculus, fluid mechanics, material science, and macroeconomics) to go in the next few days and i think if keep this up, knowledge is gonna start pouring out of my ears and make a mess on the carpet.

anyone else been studying?

iu dont really have "midterms" so to speak, attending a tech college, i just have exams whenever it's scheduled

you know how you have final exams at the end of a course? well there's exams taken around half way through the course, and appropriately enough those are called "midterms".

my semester is not particularly difficult, but the scheduling of all the due dates for random stuff has been intense. i have lab reports/prelabs due on both mondays and fridays, as well as the actual labs on tuesday morning and thursday afternoon. combine this with some lectures that have sadistic problem sets, and i have been cramming at my maximum capacity since the middle of the 2nd week of the semester.

but for real being i comp sci/philosophy major = easy peasy
(but fuck statistics...and calculus....and data structures...ah fuck really anything comp sci...philosophy ftw)

my semester has been really easy so far. got a 72% on my anthro midterm but I've gotten a 100% on my essays so I couldn't care less. Got an A in anatomy and English so I'm doing good. community college is easy as fuck, gotta kick it into gear next semester at uni though.

I haven't gone to work in almost 2 months, the only thing I really have to worry about is losing my money at poker or wondering if I'll get one last round of golf in this year. It's pretty sweet, yay parental leave!

I'm in an engineering program too and the material is just retarded. Good thing real world lets you use books for formulas! I was unaware college even had a Calculus 3 before I got into the program.

oh but yeah we are done with midterms already. We started a week earlier than other colleges for some reason in the area.

haha....I was about to say the same thing. I too have been cramming since the second week of the semester.

i just wrote my mechanics of materials midterm, there was one question where you had to find 5 different values, and i forgot how to find them, luckily it was the same exact question that was assigned for homework and i remembered those exact five numbers so everything worked out.

time to get trashed

ive got a 3rd-class-of-3-in-the-series general chem midterm tomorrow covering titrations, buffer systems, kinetics, rate laws, and temp dependent rate laws (also integrated rate laws in there) aka arrhenius laws.

i already took my basic stats midterm and got an A- on the curve with an 86%.

just got the results on my first organic chem midterm(a taste of tk's world) covering lewis structures, hybridization, resonance, isomerism, and nomenclature. i got 29/35 which is 82.85% and is another A- with the preset curve.

the studying has been paying off, hence why ive been away from the hooka.

i'm applying to grad school for organic chem starting in the fall. ultimate goal is to get a phd.

my major is math, but i am doing a double major (math and chem) and my gpa is way better in chem. also i would rather jump off a tall building than go to grad school for math. i essentially ended up with a math major by accident from passing a bunch of math classes. pretty much a dead end road unless you want to teach math or get a phd.
