So i had to pick up some human fingers today
I work at a popular beef snack stick packaging facility and one of my employees cut three of his fingers half off.
I had to step up and pick them off the floor and put them in ice to save them. The most disgusting and troubling things ive ever had to pick up off the floor. Anyone else with creepy stories?

you're not supposed to put severed limbs on ice, this can actually damage them and make them harder to reattach. Cold water is the best way to go, just so you're prepared for the next inevitable accident.
but thinking about it a little bit, you actually had a great opportunity for some prank type shenanigans, you should have put one in your nose, walked up to the employee and said "hey dude, stop picking my nose!" or something stupid like that.

My friend nearly sawed his hand completely off, using a table saw; it was still connected hanging by a thread on one side of his wrist. Had to get stitches all the way up the front and back of his arm and and across his entire palm.
During the healing process, I think it turned maybe 5 or 6 different colors

havent cut off any fingers, but i have managed to cut a quarter inch deep into my index fingernail parallel to the length of the finger, and then for about 2 months as it healed the separated nail would sort of "click" apart if wasn't careful reaching into my pockets or something. which was very painful.

![]() For my stories..... I used to do Bio-Med waste at a hospital as well as do operating room clean up .... wanna here a couple of those stories Cleaning up after an aneurysm where a man received and lost 9 pints of blood on the floor, that I had to clean up ,like jelly, with a dust pan. Or maybe a tale of the waste I used to pick up from phlebotomy.I got sympathy for the work place accident, because that is really quite different, but you had gloves on I 99% imagine because of food handling.... meat is meat.... grab and growl.... good job. I'm sure that person is really happy you weren't scared.
