Red Shirt Guy: Hello. I have... I just finished reading The Shattering yesterday and I noticed something. It said that Falstad Wildhammer was going to be on the Council of Three Hammers but in the beta it's Kurdran Wildhammer and Falstad is not in the game at all. What happened to him?
Chris Metzen: Isn't Falstad dead? From Day of the Dragon? No? Red Shirt Guy: No, he survived and in fact he was the leader of Aerie Peak in vanilla WoW through Wrath of the Lich King. Chris Metzen: Of course... Yeah, Alex what's up with that? Alex Afrasiabi: Thanks, Thanks for pointing that out. We're going to get that fixed. Red Shirt Guy: Thank you.

People who demand that much perfection in what is supposed to be their recreation just don't get it.

Council of Three Hammers - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft
The Council of Three Hammers is the regency that rules the Kingdom of Ironforge following the Cataclysm and the petrification of King Magni Bronzebeard. The Council is so named because it is comprised of representatives from each of the three dwarven clans of the Three Hammers in Eastern Kingdoms: * the Bronzebeard clan by Magni's brother Muradin Bronzebeard * the Wildhammer clan by Kurdran Wildhammer (earlier builds featured Falstad Wildhammer instead) * the Dark Iron clan by Magni's daughter Moira Thaurissan, the widow of Emperor Dagran Thaurissan, as queen-regent to her son Fenran Thaurissan.

ive watched this video about 20 times now. i think my favorite part is the first 5 seconds where he gets nervous about his voice being over the PA and messes up words.
its like for the first time in his life he is realizing this shit is happening outside of his head, in the real world you can almost see the humanity come back to his glazed, azerothian eyes as he feels an actual emotion for the first time since leaving his wow-dungeon but a micro-second later the nerd returns and is off to the horses with his amazing facts and logic concerning the video game "WORLD OF WARCRAFT" for just a second, his head was above the wow-water. for a mere second he had a glimpse of the real world. and then he retreated back to azeroth. how tragic.

yeah i was going to compare this to like a star wars nerd or something
(who can forget the classic SNL sketch: William Shatner SNL - Get A Life Video - WittySparks ) but this is infinitely worse because hes questioning an aspect of the entertainment that isnt even that prominent. even hardcore wow-addicts dont give a shit about the lore and story. they just want to run one more dungeon so they can get one more badge so that in 100 more runs they can turn in 100 badges for one more awesome item, and when they get 10 more awesome items...etc... the cosmos aligned with the one piece of electronic video entertainment that could provide the world with such a nerd, the nerds over-zealotry for his entertainment, and a shitty enough story in-game to provide such shitty consistency so that said nerd could rage about said inconsistency of story. truly glorious.

It'd be one thing if he was a pompous asshole nerd who was outraged at the 'mis-step' but sadly, I think this guy genuinely cares and was curious.

"Hi, question for Ms. Bellamy. In episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes that same rib twice in succession yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we, to believe that this is some sort of a, a magic xylophone or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder."

^clearly hes not aware that if you strike a cartoon cats ribs at exactly 30.4 miles per hour with a pure chrome hammer it will re-arrange the molecular structure of the rib resulting in a different tone.
fucking noob.

As someone who doesn't play the game there are like 4 expansions right? So if you were to start playing would you have to buy all of them or just like the last one to come out? How does that work?

as an ex-addict i can answer:
2 expansions, you can buy them all as a bundle w/ the game for 30-40 bucks, costs 10-15 bucks per month depending on your plan you dont even want to get into it though. its such a shit game. horrible. you will find yourself in a year or few years with no social life and only some stupid virtual dude to show for what youve spent all your time on. im all for video games but wow is a lifestyle. a horrible soul-sucking lifestyle. and then it turns into a job. and then you come home from your job to work another job.

Yeah I'm not into the whole MMORPG style video games. I don't hate on them and I don't think they are for virgin parents house 30 year old nerds, but they have strong potential to be abused as a substitute for someones miserable shitty life.
