Bummer :(
13-year-old girl shot in Buffalo home | WIVB.com
A girl from my sister's jr high was shot by a stray bullet while she was in her house on Halloween. She's in a coma and if she even survives, she may be completely paralyzed. I've never known someone who's gotten shot before, not including veterans. It's fucking crazy. A few months ago we were sitting in my mom's house talking about her and my sister's plans for their futures and now she might not even see her 14th birthday in 4 days. ![]() Fuck random acts of violence. Too many kids dying. The same day an 18 year old kid was stabbed to death downtown after a Halloween party.

This week in my home county was a murder suicide, where a 24 year old man dressed himself in a tux and his two daughters in sunday dresses and went to the mountain to give them all Carbon monoxide poisoning.
Pretty bummed... really didn't want to share that, but this seems like a good venue for bummer news ![]() ![]() ![]()

My Dad is a volunteer paramedic and every hunting season there is one person who somehow gets shot in the home from a stay bullet... some of the stories are , if the person was just half a inch to the left they'd have died.. and sometimes they are half an inch to the left
![]() I'm not saying that is doesn't suck... but for one man to have one call at least every year in the same county, it's scary that it's 'normal' for him. Keep your head up Bearman.... this is good shit happening in the world too, make sure you look for some of it.

reminds me of what I read in the paper earlier today. not a stray bullet hitting a house like you mentioned but apparently it is claimed to be some kind of accidental discharge
Youth who shot, killed friend on playground gets 16 years in prison DAYTON — Bobby Lavel Moore said Wednesday that he loved the 15-year-old girlfriend he shot to death on the playground of Westwood PK-8 Elementary School June 16, a crime he learned would put him in prison for a full 16 years. Moore, who turns 17 Nov. 19, shot Ronika Owens-Clemons in the side as he was showing off with the loaded handgun at a playground full of youngsters, prosecutors said. Moore, who pleaded guilty to a number of related offenses but called the shooting an accident, could have gotten a maximum of 24 years in prison. “I really loved her,” Moore said. “I remember the first time I saw her. She was the most beautiful thing I (had) ever seen. I hope and pray you forgive me.” Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Mary Wiseman noted Moore’s status as a first-time offender, but added that he had shown the firearm shortly before the shooting “to have a conversation with another guy” on the playground. The circumstances of the death and the young age of the victim shook the community. A vigil was held soon after with calls by community leaders to stop deadly gun violence. Owens-Clemons’ funeral drew 300 mourners. At a news conference Wednesday, Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck and Chief Juvenile Prosecutor Julie Bruns said that after the shooting, Moore called 911 on a cell phone and lied to the operator that it was a drive-by shooting. He then hid the firearm, which has never been recovered. Earlier this year, Heck said his office’s decision to request a move to adult court was based on Moore’s actions after the shooting “telling witnesses, ‘Tell them I’m not the shooter,’ disposing of the weapon and fleeing the scene.” Moore pleaded guilty to manslaughter, tampering with evidence, carrying a concealed weapon, illegal conveyance of a firearm into a school safety zone and possession of a firearm in a school safety zone. Members of Moore’s family looked stunned after the sentencing and eyes swelled with tears. Grandmother Margaret Cook, 55, of Dayton, was crestfallen. “It was an accident. I thought he’d get less time.”
