Weight loss... good to be skinny (?)

Since I last posted here I've lost about 15lbs. So I went from 145 to 130 now. It's made quite a difference in my overall appearance I must say. It's like having my 16 year old body back and therefore I often physically feel like a teenager when I am in a room amongst other people. LOL and since I began working with literally hundereds of people at a time I started to realize just how big most people are (or how small I am compared to them).

So I have no desire to go down to 120 because I think that would be too skinny and unhealthy, but I've noticed that I definitely pay more attention on a daily basis on what I'm doing to keep my weight down. It's just a weird kinda cool feeling to be next to 90% of the population that has a gut and a big butt and double chin etc and know that I'm a long way off from that.

I will note though that it doesn't mean that I'm all that healthier because I still smoke and eat junk food so I'm sure my heart is still suffering some abuse.

Balance?

How tall? Sounds too light for an adult male unless you're a lil guy

well true i am only 5'7''.... being around a bunch of people really puts my size in perspective. sometimes i wonder how it would feel to be a "normal" size male. like is that the best default setting to be precieved by? especially by the opposite sex.

120's fine if you're a 5' 2" chick.

I'm 5 foot 8 inch and my pcp says @ 175 pounds I'm light.

I have maintained a very low bodyfat since 1974 .

5'8'' sounds like it should weigh more like 165lbs to me

and knowing you'll probably out live most of them by twenty years.

perhaps your good example will rub off on them.

130 for 5' 7" doesn't sound too bad.

I'm 5' 11" and I was 140 a couple months ago. I brought myself back up to 150 now. I'm hoping with skiing and other such exercises over the sumemr i can bring that up to 160.

so with a height of 5'7" @ 130 lbs you have a BMI of 20.4
i am 6'0" and 145 lbs, my BMI = 19.7

so you actually have more mass than me. i feel small compared to everyone else too, i hate it. i have always had a fast metabolism and have never restricted my diet. although recently i only eat organic non gmo shit, i still cant seem to gain much weight. the only thing that has ever affected my weight is drugs, lol.. sigh.

for body types like mine what really helps is running and push ups. in 2008 i ran a full 26 mile marathon by running miles and 100 pushups daily.

dont eat junkfood man. would you like some nutrients with your preservatives? try fuckin vegetables yo.

Word man. My right knee is sort of fucked up, probably permanently (havent seen a doc about surgery or anything yet, so maybe it is possible to fix. got hit by a car 7 years ago and the hospital let me go without an x-ray, dumb-asses). I can walk on it fine and run for maybe 20 minutes, but any more than that and it swells up for a week and it hurts just to walk.

Thankfully I can bike for hours and it never acts up. I love biking for hours. It's like I never get tired after the first half hour - I just keep going - feels awesome, that rush of physical exertion and conquering every hill you come across.

Too bad it's winter almost all year here. Skiing requires me to be very precise in my technique, otherwise I can fuck me knee up pretty easily.

yeah man knees. gotta be careful with em

skiing is awesome isnt it? i have grown up skiing, LOVE it, and have done as much of that all over the PNW as i have been able to.

I've been to whistler 5 times, all winter, Mt. Baker, Steven's Pass, Crystal Mt, and Snoqualmie, tried to get to Idaho for a weekender but couldn't swing the $.

been skiing anywhere cool X? you ski right? or board? i love both but nothing is better than slicing some french fries down the glacier sides.

Yeah I'm a skiier. Got myself a new pair of skiis this year, forget what brand but I got a good deal on em. They're a bit too large for my size, so I end up going very fast very quickly.

Gotta get a helmet this year.

I don't think I've been anywhere particularily awesome yet, just a few mountains throughout Alberta and British Columbia. However, I'm planning a trip next winter to check out this place in the alps where there are a series of blue/black diamond level slopes connected by a series of gondolas. Apparently doing the whole route is like 3 days of solid skiing though some of the most beautiful mountain ranges you will ever see. Totally looking forward to that.
