Make it cheaper on yourself. Check out this website. Application start date for 2011 starts beginning of January.

FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid

With FAFSA, I'm going to school for absolutely free. I will never have to pay it back like a loan, its all grant money. I get a check for the excess, so it pays a little too. The application is pretty simple, but I've done it enough, I could give ya a hand with it if ya need. Just hit me up, you know the deal.

College is not that "daunting." If you want to get into plants, but also get a job, major in forestry. You'll thank me later.

P.S....Terry, if you're majoring in history you better get your phd.

seriously though.....forestry is where it's at. Fisheries and wildlife and environmental science is bunk.

If you go to a state school (in your state) it will be cheaper.

If you want plants and trees I'd stay in the Northwest extending into Canada.

Hahaha are you kidding me? University was the best time of my life so far, and I know I'm not alone on this.

If you are picking these courses because you think they will be easy, you are wrong. Im just letting you know now, Im taking horticulture now, and the work load is insane, although I do love the course. Im at Algonquin College in Ottawa, but they are putting the axe to the course soon.

Yeah, my botany/horticulture/plant physiology courses are no joke.

A degree isn't a ticket for a job, its more of a pre-requisite, so make sure that you acquire things that make you stand out from the other millions of people that also have degrees; such as excellent GPA, post graduate degree, and experience (which is the biggy) such as internships, research, or co-ops
