I got a Kindle :)
My wife got it for me for my birthday last week. The thing kicks ass. I've been downloading books off project Gutenberg constantly. They have a shitload of free e-books that are in the public domain. I got Jules Verne, Twain, The Bhagavad Gita, all kinds of shit.

does it show text only or can it have pdfs? im considering getting one and pirating all my textbooks for next semester, its fucking ridiculous how much books cost, its like 2500CAD for books for a semester.

The Kindle supports PDF's, and displays images and charts and stuff quite clearly.
