Amazing photos. I think if I could choose to have one experience in my life it would be to see earth from space, I don't think anything you could ever do would compare to that.

Yeah a dream of mine is to see the earth from space. It is one of those crazy dreams that still falls in the kinda realistic area. Like you can pretty much get into space if you have enough money now... i feel like in a couple decades average joe should be able to do it.
amazing pictures

hell yea fortysecond. i feel like YOU AND ME ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE IN THE FUCKING WORLD who still care about project constellation.
i was so excited and inspired by it, and it seemed so cheap compared to so many stupid useless things we do, that i just cant believe people have basically stopped carring about it. i think there should be riots in the streets like they had in london and paris from people who are pissed about that. how was it not a campaign issue this time? the loss of constellation is the loss of thousands of jobs and the potential for any new ones from it is totally destroyed how were stewart and colbert so oblivious to that in their rally- if they wanted something that most americans do support and could rally behind, its space exploration and leading the world in space tech. fuckin eh. neil fucking armstrong the man who first stepped on the moon and miraculously this happened in our lifetimes or near enough to them that that man is still alive today told congress what an ass backward idea it was to abandon that amazing program, and still nothing changes. it will probably be looked at as the biggest blunder of our generation, even worse than the near collapse of the global financial markets.... who cares about the financial markets on THIS GLOBE... when there are thousands of other globes out there that we will now never get to or be delayed by 40 years and have the chineese do it instead because we dropped the fucking ball and took all our knowledge from iss and 20 years of running joint us - world missions in low earth orbit and instead of taking it to the next logical step and building a long term base on the moon we just said FUGETABOUTIT. thats the single reason why i hate obama more than any other... ill say flat out right now if he turns around and restarts it i would vote for him in 2012. |
