Tough Mudder
So I completed my second tough mudder race. 12 miles of jumping, swimming, scrambling, sliding, climbing (a little crying) and a whole bunch of other shit.
Some of yall should look into this cause it's hella fun. My one friend quit cause he turned all white and couldnt stop puking after the swimming element. The only obstacle I failed at was a set of greased monkey bars which were set in a ^ style frame. Most people failed at that one since our hands were numb and water logged at that point. this seems to be a good run down of the obstacles throughout the 12 miles |

yeah that is a fucking tough mother for sure, congrats brosef
i couldnt do a fraction of that shit at the point im at now. actually its my new years commitment that im starting a bit early this year to get healthy. not just like "twenty something do what the fuck you want but your body can still handle it" healthy but healthy healthy. first thing i did was quit cigs. its been like two weeks since i had one of those. weeds gonna stay but im tapering it way down. no more fast food or energy drinks, shit like that. thats phase 1. phase 2 kicks in sometime around actual new years with the exercise. hurray for multi-tiered new years commitments

The first mudder I did was on a mountain, and I smoked cigs and drank vodka in line for the bus to the event.
This one I just smoked cigs in the parking lot. I watched a girl get electrocuted and have to be pulled out of the live wire laced mud pit. I guess she doesn't tolerate electrocution so well. Mad muscles got pulled, a few almost drowned, shoes got lost. I think about 22% didn't finish, which is a good rate compared to the first one. which was more like half and half. |

yeah you run between obstacles... if you can!
Shit's all mental toughness imo.. yeah you gotta be able to move your body from a to b... but if you arent a pussy you can accomplish this. I was the only one of my crew to not skip a single obstacle, i actually made extra obstacles for myself.

oh and it took my friends and I 3.5 hours. We all stick together and break with each other when we have to. I stuck behind with my friend that quit for a while, hoping he would puke it out and recover... but he didnt, he went into shock and ish.
But theres one in PA at the same location as the first one, and then one in Georgia that I fully plan on attending |
