Terence McKenna's "Stoned Ape" Theory of Human Evolution

Perhaps the most intriguing of Terence McKenna's fascinating theories and observations is his explanation for the origin of the human mind and human culture.

To summarize: McKenna theorizes that as the North African jungles receded toward the end of the most recent ice age, giving way to grasslands, a branch of our tree-dwelling primate ancestors left the branches and took up a life out in the open -- following around herds of ungulates, nibbling what they could along the way.

yeah I've heard a theory similar waves, but it was marijuana not psybocilin.

either way it's no more or less "ridiculous," if you will, than the theories proposed by this show.
but of course, being waves with 10 billion post count, you won't receive the negative and almost derogatory comments that I got, even though you actually proposed the theory yourself, and all I did was propose a good show.

for an example, one episode talks about underwater cities that according to these scholars, are over 14,000 years old!!! cities with enormous culture and advanced monolithic structures.

yet at the same time, according to "mainstream archaeologists," at that time we were no more than cave-dwelling hunter-gatherers!
