As a former Torontonian, I agree with this study. In my personal opinion it's mainly due to public transit. Don';t get me wrong, the TTC is an excellent service, but if you've ever had to shoehorn yourself into a subway or streetcar in the middle of winter, you know what I'm talking about.

I'm still too uncertain about this place to answer yes or no.

At the moment I think it's more me rather than the city, itself.

While Toronto came in at the bottom of the list (Sherbrooke, Que., was at the top), citizens of the megacity can take comfort in the fact, on average, they remain a fairly happy bunch. Toronto scored a 4.15 out of 5 on the happiness scale while Sherbrooke scored a 4.37. This means citizens in the happiest city were only about 5.5 per cent happier than in the least contented.

There are more possible connections in the human brain than there are atoms in the entire universe.

It's because all neurons have about 10,000 possible UNIQUE connections. So in between two neurons there's a possible 10,0000 connections. So the numbers get big, FAST.

When they say "possible" connections, they aren't taking into account physical limitations that two neurons are on opposite sides of the brain, this is all neurons in your body x all other dendrites.

Oh and the universe isn't as big as you think it is, it's mostly empty space, it's just spread out. So in the end I forget the leading number but I know there are 23,000 zeros on the number of all possible UNIQUE neural connections.

so be careful with your brain, eh? don't abuse drugs.

On average, about 50% of the time, more than 75% 0f statistics are 95% made up.

i dont buy this.

each "connection" has to be made of many atoms so there would always be more atoms than connections

The size of the universe is quite unknown.

READ what I said... carefully... you said the same thing my anatomy teacher said.

it's possible connections, not actual connections. each single neuron has 10,000 possible connections via its dendrites, 1 neuron has 100,000,000 possible unique connection possibilities with 10 other neurons.

so considering the brain has nearly 60 billion neurons within the cerebral cortex, you do the math....

this is not just a guess, it's an actual calculation done by quantum physicists.

that's debatable.

because we do know that the universe is still expanding via the Redshift and the doppler effect.

either way, we still know the universe's density is a tiny bit above zero, space is empty space.

The thing is that the calculation assumes that any neuron can connect to any other neuron in the brain, which isn't actually the case.

Still pretty cool though.

the suggestiong that it's even expanding is debatable.
