Healing touch isn't bunk.
Thinking you can 'touch' people over youtube.... that is one toke over the line, imo.

Seeing a video that has impact is one thing......

Sending your impact to the masses via YT?
That bytes.

depends on whether the illness is physical or mental.

I've seen both Roach....

Healing touch doesn't have to be profound.

ie- You know when a hug from person A. is just so much better than person B.'s?

Where does body and mind separate?
There is physical illnesses that comes from mental stress as well.

I didn't say it could cure all things, I just said it wasn't bunk, imo.

thats my view as well

i think humans are capable of some amazing and awesome things that we still have no idea we are capable of yet, en masse, so to speak

but to think that this shit will actually cause someone to be healed over youtube?

that is going to a place that is way too far out for even me, and i am WAY FAR OUT

emotional affection =/= physical healing

although that stuff has the potential to brighten up someones day, (and i do like it) i dont see its practical application in a medicinal setting.

There is some interesting methods called 'tapping' in lay terms that is just that. And it's used in counseling settings to help process trauma. Very interesting stuff. I've seen it and how it works.

It's technically tapping spots on the body and resembles as much a mindfulness means, over physical healing, however this is a way mental healing occurs because trauma is something that happens to you that the brain can't process, getting stuck in the body quite literally and needs to be worked through slowly.

The hug metaphor is a good one, as well. Certainly something I've experienced in massage. Some people give a good massage, but it has no heart... what is that? I'd call this healing touch.

As the mental verse physical in general... there are certainly studies that show how mental attitude effects the physical healing process and vice versa, but I understand the link or not link.. as it were, you are speaking of.

The dichotomy between mind and body isn't entirely correct as I feel neither work independently of each other.

Is it fair to say you specifically mean Reiki or something of the like?
