dont get me wrong i love sledding and christmas carols and snowboarding and snowball fights and snow days and shit like that, but fuck if this weather doesnt have me physically wishing that humans were bear-like in the winter

i want to become a man-bear MINUS the pig, cuz pigs are stinky and fat

when i grow up i want a job that lets me sleep from november to march

I prefer the summer but winters all right when you're sat in a pub with a real fire watching the snow fall while getting so drunk you wont feel the cold when you finally stumble home.

heh... it's called landscaping Waves.

It's what I've done the last two years. From Dec-April I've had off, minus the volunteering I do.

Luckily I have a partner with a job that allows us the space for me to do this.

I hear you though man. We are no different than the rest of waking life that responds to light, so take it easy, get a book, take lots of naps.

I like winter a lot, but it doesn't mean I don't have a perma haze in my mind because of the sun light.
I'm happy to be further south, Central BC was soooooo dark.

Heck I was house sitting in Yellowknife NWT last January and I slept through the day once 11am-2pm

shit happens.

Listen to your body.

38 I was still wearing shorts when it was that warm.

I gave up working in shorts in Mid Oct when the frosty mornings hit just below freezing.

I hate the rain-wet-snow-sleet-bull shit which in NY we get our fair share of. Walking through the woods after a fresh snow smoking a bowl is one of my top 3 favorite things. Hearing the ice cracking miles away echoing is amazing. Me and the lady are hanging the lights (inside(its an apartment)) and drinking hot spiced cider tonight! I can't wait. And of course rocking out to some TSO.

Yeah I've gotta get around to hanging some lights permitted it stops raining sometime this week. I'd rather it be colder and snow.

Do you know how to use a shovel or mower ???

You're in!

Just get on as labour.

Basically you can only
A. build stuff
B. maintain the plantings/yard.
Then you decide commercial or private.
Most entry level jobs don't pay that bad at all.

Seriously, you do have to like the shit weather a little to do it, but it balances out the winter in doors.

Today it's 10 tomorrow it says 3, me thinks that ought to equal some clearing skies and a little more sun, son! Now sure which side of me you are on to know if I should be expecting to hear or pass on early weather warning!
