let me go copy and paste some scripting languages so my opinion is more valid...

I can show you picture evidence of my Dell that only lasted three years. Absolute shit quality. I will never go back to dell, especially for a laptop. Half the fucking keys fell out of the goddamn keyboard.


If you decide PC, go ASUS and put ubuntu on that bitch. w7 should always be your background OS no matter what kind of computer you have, mac or pc.




Oh yeah, and never NEVER buy a laptop with an integrated graphics card. Intel GMA whatever is always shit. And invest in either i5 or i7 processor.

music making software relies on CPU and RAM, and also hard drive speed when it comes to large files

if it were a desktop i might agree with u because integrated graphics on a desktop is horrible for ANYTHING but at this point in the tech-game lappys with advanced graphics are still pretty pricey.

but hey, i got my laptop new for $700 last year and it can play starcraft 2 and borderlands and the like with shaders on. Its got a geforce something or other, so it is possible to find a deal if you look hard enough.

it was kind of a joke. kind of. i got all these apps for my ipad, and I could pretty much throw down a live show if needed with the ipad alone. the korg and moog apps are fucking legit to the bone.

and from what I'm told, it can take midi input now too.

pretty fuckin amazin for 499 if you ask me.

works quite well with a suite of appz called Backtrack 4.

the reason for a good graphics chip to run audio appz is to display all your effects rigs/devices on one screen...like with reason 4....it has minimum video requirements.

I had a chance to play with a Korg polyphonic @ one time.:nice:

also Organtua synths
and a Prophet synth...my fav.
