I fucked up

So, the other day i got extremely impatient and scraped my windshield of ice with a license plate.

Now i have three or four scratches in my windshield.

anyone have any experience in this without replacing the windshield?

of ALL the things you could have used...even while being impatient...you...le t me get this straight...used a license PLATE (not the license in your pocket...keep that tip in mind for next time) to scrape ice off your windshield?!?

man. that sucks.

(i'm laughing with you here)

I think they make a liquid crack repair solution that might work. It's one of those things you'd have to look for on eBay, as I've only seen it sold by individuals in parking lots, etc. However, the demonstration I saw seemed valid.

BTW, one time I was staying with an ex, and she'd been pretty bitchy for the last several days and I was kinda getting sick of her in general. Well, we're driving along and her windshield wiper gets stuck, kinda half up and half down. so she starts hitting the inside of the windshield to get it going ( ) and accidentaly breaks her own windshield (winter cold must have made it brittle, I guess). I was outwardly sympathetic.

Depending on the car... most likely $300 to replace the whole windshield. They will come out to you.

No way!

Seriously though. Dumb.

If the ice is breaking everything else you probably should realize it's time to wait.

Also, I used to hate having to sit and wait all day for the car to defrost. I went to the shithole that is walmart and paid like 7 or 8 bucks for some telescoping scraper/brush combo. Best 7 I ever spent.
