Yeah man bear is pretty good in stew and jerky but I've never had straight bear meat. But yeah, my folks grew up poor and my dad and I hunt so to me dead animals of just about any type=food. Although I've never thought of dead horses as food, probably because we use an injection to put them down but it really seems like a waste to bury a big, dead animal that other animals could have gotten a meal from.

Werd Osirus,

I grew up hunting and most of the meat I ate was either from the woods or I helped butcher on the farm. That connection is a good thing. Been vegetarian for 8 years now though

Think the process of it all made me evaluate my want of going to the trouble to get the meat like that after I left home and some other inward changes as well... but that is now what I'd call a tangent.

I am not mature enough for the word beaver to be used.... but I'll comment.....

I have eaten ground hog and things like that, I can't imagine that beaver is all to different as they go.

Beavers eat constantly....and... they can't digest all the minerals and so on all at once...so you know what they all do???

They do whole alot of number 2.....and eat it later....there's still a whole lotta vits and minerals they dint get the first time around!!

Most folks who eat Beaver (in these parts)....will boil the meat 3 times ....(on the 3rd boil, add the salt) before eating.
